This drill-saw combination consists of the Peddinghaus BDL 1250 high speed drill line with 3 drilling units each a roller measuring system and the MEBA top 1270 DGP bandsaw for saw cuts with miter adjustment. The saw drill line is designed to process structural shapes with dimensions in cross-section from min. 75 mm x 50 mm to max. 1250 mm x 610 mm (50" x 24" inch) and for profile lengths of 19,000 mm (748 inch).

The Peddinghaus BDL 1250/9 is a very stable beam drill line designed for heavy-duty use in heavy steel processing. The well-known roller measuring system together with a stable material clamping system ensure the fast material transport of the different steel profiles to the exact processing point for drilling, marking and sawing. A central, highly reliable Siemens 840Di CNC control reliably transmits all axis commands or position data to the individual drilling axes and measuring systems of the entire plant, including the Meba mitre band saw.

This high-speed drilling line is ideally suited for drilling, tapping, countersinking and marking of profiles. The maximum processing width is 1250 mm (50"). The drive power of the drilling motors is 18.5 kW (25 hp) with a spindle speed of 0 - 1800 U/min (rpm). The 9 drilling spindles (3 per axis). The drill diameter is minimum 8 mm and maximum 50 mm. The special hydraulic material clamping of the BDL 1250 guarantees low-vibration material guidance through the machine. The reduction of vibrations extends the service life of carbide tools. The sturdy Peddinghaus BDL 1250/9D drill line weighs approximately 14,710 kg.

MEBAtop 1270 DGP Bandsaw
The MEBAtop 1270 DGP is a miter bandsaw in portal frame design. The bandsaw unit is mounted in the portal frame and swivels above the material. This means that the swivel gear is exposed to less contamination from chips or cooling lubricants. Furthermore, residual pieces and waste are reduced. The miter swivel range is max. +/- 30° depending on the setup variant. The saw band dimension is 9800 mm x 67 mm x 1,6 mm. The net saw weight is approx. 9,000 kg with machine dimensions of 3650 mm x 5800 mm x 3000 mm.

The residual piece length is approximately 30 mm. The band saw has a cutting speed of 15 - 150 m / min with drive power of 14.5 kW.
